Isaiah 40:6-8…

The voice said, “Cry out!”
And he said, “What shall I cry?”
“All flesh is grass,
And all its loveliness is like the flower of the field.
The grass withers, the flower fades,
Because the breath of the Lord blows upon it;
Surely the people are grass.
The grass withers, the flower fades,
But the word of our God stands forever.”

Sometimes, where you live lends Scripture passages great poignancy. In East Texas, Spring would come and the grass would take on green verdure. Then Fall would arrive and it would go brown. In Michigan it would take on a blanket of white snow for the Winter. And, of course, in Florida it was always either Spring or Summer, and the grass was always green.

Here in New Mexico it’s a little different…a lot different. In most of the State, water is at a premium so, of course…
