Somebody pulled this up out of the Archive today.
It did snow here yesterday.
I know that I have said it before…two or three years ago when we had heavy snow…
We think lots of things when snow falls…how pretty it is…how dangerous the driving is…that it is a form of precipitation that this particular dry and dusty corner of creation needs…that we won’t/can’t go to school/work/church today.
The most important thing we need to think of when it snows, especially that first snow, is Yahweh’s covenant faithfulness to His promises…
Then the LORD said in His heart, “I will never again curse the ground for man’s sake, although the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; nor will I again destroy every living thing as I have done.
“While the earth remains,
Seedtime and harvest,
Cold and heat,
Winter and summer,
And day and night
Shall not cease.”
