Philippians 3:13:

 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead,I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Matthew Henry helpfully points out that there is a sinful forgetting. To forget past sins in such a way that we don’t learn their lessons is not what Paul is calling for here. And to forget the mighty acts of God in our lives in such a way that we cannot call upon those memories for our encouragement and for others’ encouragement  is also not what he is calling for.
