Let Your mercies come also to us, O Lord—
Your salvation according to Your word.
So shall we have an answer for him who reproaches us,
For we trust in Your word.
And take not the word of truth utterly out of our mouths,
For we have hoped in Your ordinances.
So shall we keep Your law continually,
Forever and ever.
And we will walk at liberty,
For we seek Your precepts.
We will speak of Your testimonies also before kings,
And will not be ashamed.
And we will delight ourselves in Your commandments,
Which we love.
Our hands also we will lift up to Your commandments,
Which we love,
And we will meditate on Your statutes.
O God, indeed Your mercy has come to us; Your salvation has come to us according to Your Word spoken even so long ago, that One would come who would crush the head of the serpent. And, indeed, Father, Your Son has come. Lord, He came to have victory in a way that we could not possibly understand, except it were set forth for us in Your Word.
We pray…by Your Word make us wise…by Your Word make us wise unto salvation. By Your Word make us wise to understand Your great purposes for us and for all of Christ’s church.
And Father, we pray, may the words of my mouth, and the meditation of all of our hearts be in all ways acceptable in Your sight. O God, our Fortress, our Strength, our Rock and our Redeemer.
