Virtually all issues to be addressed on the basis of the Scriptures are ‘three-dimensional’…like a cube. Different ‘faces,’ found in different parts of the Scriptures, have bearing upon the issue being addressed. So often, however, the discussions end up ‘hollow.’ Instead of being three-dimensional, with all of the faces being ‘heard from,’ the debate takes place on the two-dimensional squares on the sides, with any real ‘conversation’ taking place only on the one-dimensional lines of intersection between the faces. Seldom are the conversations truly three-dimensional.
