Congregational Prayer: February 24, 2013…

Our Holy Father and our God, we give you thanks for Your great goodness and the manifold mercies you shower upon us, upon Christ’s church and, indeed, upon all of Your creation. We praise You for Your great wisdom, displayed in the wondrous creation we see round about us, in the way that we are fearfully and wonderfully made, and in Your great purposes as we see them set forth in Your word, your revelation to us.

We thank You most especially, O God, for Your greatest revelation of all, that you have, in these latter days, spoken to us through Your Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ. He is our Rock, O God, and we pray that by Your Spirit You would work in our hearts that the houses of our lives might be firmly established upon Him and upon the Law and Prophets as they are revealed to us by and through Him.

We come before You, O Father, to ask, seek and knock. We know that You know what we have need of before we ask, and yet we also know that Your Son instructs us to come before you in prayer and supplication. Hear our prayers, O God…
