Dead to comforts…hardened against sorrows…

Thomas Manton on Matthew 6:13…

 

And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one.

 

…until a man be dead to worldly comforts, and hardened against worldly sorrows, he doth but lie naked and open to Satan
